WOLF TRAP - Wolf Trap’s Theater in the Woods,

like so many other venues, had to cancel performances this summer, but they asked us to sing a couple of songs that we wrote for them a few years back.

Pete Seeger’s dream child, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater has been advocating for the Hudson River, as well as educating and celebrating from the Adirondacks to New York City for more than 50 years now. We have been active members

of that beloved community for more than thirty years now, and were happy to join in the June 20th, 2020 virtual version of Clearwater’s "Great Hudson River Revival” aka, the Clearwater Festival, on-line with a host of friends and colleagues.

Please join and contribute. HERE

The Sloop and her people need us now,

more than ever.

Old Songs is our neighborhood folk festival, and this year is their 40th anniversary.  Altamont, where the festival is held, is about a twenty-minute drive from our house through, the beautiful Helderbergs in the northern Catskills.  We love the way Old Songs has always featured the best of the best, both traditional and truly “old” music as well as the best of the current creators of new songs, the best songwriters in the folk circuit.  This year, because of the cancellations, we’re singing a few songs on-line for them.

Check out this tune and then check out the virtual Old Songs Festival on Ron Olesko’s Folk Music Notebook, the evenings of June 26 and 27, and Sunday afternoon the 28th. LISTEN HERE

And then check back next year, because we know

Old Songs will be back in person in 2021.

“Songs that portray the impact of the Great Depression (1929-1941) on people in various walks of life throughout the United States. Terry & Greg cover a lot of musical ground including blues, country, unaccompanied, swing, jazz, and popular. These are a few of the stories of the people, the troubles they endured, and the hope that kept them going.
